The Caribbean Climate Outlook Forum (CariCOF) has been a leading mechanism to bring precipitation, temperature, drought and other forecasts to bear on climate risk planning in the Caribbean. The Forum includes a two-day training event on seasonal and subseasonal forecasting and a stakeholder workshop that deliberately brings together climate and meteorological service providers and decision-makers. The CariCOF is one of 21 regional climate outlook forums routinely convened around the globe. Since 2012, the CariCOF has occurred 23 times, usually meeting in-person and biannually. This research project asks the question: how the CariCOF has influenced the use of climate information in sectoral climate risk decision-making. It further seeks to understand how the CariCOF has evolved since 2012 to meet the growing demand for climate information in the region.
