Zack Guido
Dr. Guido’s research focuses on the use of technical weather and climate information in decision-making, resilience in global development challenges, climate services, and adaptation. Grounded in Socio-Environmental Systems and Transdisciplinary Research frameworks, Dr. Guido examines how human-environment interactions shape challenges and solutions, emphasizing collaboration with decision-makers to produce actionable knowledge.
He employs mixed-methods approaches, including statistical modeling of household survey data, time-series and spatial analysis of geospatial datasets, participatory workshops, and qualitative analysis of interviews and focus groups. His research has been published in journals such as Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Nature Climate Change, Global Environmental Change, and World Development. Dr. Guido has conducted research across Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean, with funding from U.S. Agency for International Development, the World Meteorological Organization, the U.S. National Science Foundation, and U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
